That quote basically sums up why I'm here. Life has been pretty dull the past 8 months as school sucked up most of my time leaving a practically non-existent social life (then a few friends abandoned Vegas which didn't help much). The blog is mostly here because I don't want to email pictures to my fam every day. We'll see if I keep it up after I get back.
Florence is unbelievable. I'm already obsessed with it and I've only been here 24 hours. The highlights so far...seeing the David (but you're not allowed to take pictures inside so I don't actually have proof I was there). An insane dinner last night that went on forever. Bread to start with, a tray of amazing bruschetta, and proscutto, salami, and 2 other things I wouldn't try because one was mushroomy and the other just looked too nasty to eat, ziti pasta with a ton of meat, chicken and potatoes, and an insanely amazing tiramisu. I used a lot of self control and only had a few bites of each. (I kept thinking that Moose, Brady and all the guys would really be packing it down but it was wasted on me) I passed on the never-ending wine but apparently it was too good for anyone else to pass up. My flat is on the fourth floor, so I won't feel to guilty indulging in a little gelato. Especially considering there's a gelateria across the very narrow street. The best part is that everything looks like the pictures. It's beautiful and colorful and awesome. Love walking everywhere. No pictures yet because my hair is having a hard time adjusting to humidity again. It's definitely a drag to have 3 hours of class a day but oh well.
So there's day one. It still hasn't sunk in that I'm actually here...
