Capella Brancacci and a castle

I thought I was done with seeing churches, but some friends got me to go see one more, the Cappella Brancacci. It is a tiny chapel on the Oltrano (other side of the river) but the frescoes there are famous. It was hard to get a good picture, no flash photography allowed, but here's one side of the chapel.
This is Masaccio's 'Temptation of Adam and Eve.' My friend Brian pointed out that the serpent is a blonde-haired woman. Thanks. You have to notice how serene this scene is...
In contrast with the excruciating agony of Masaccio's 'Expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise.'
On Thursday, one of our Professor's had us up to the castle she was staying at, about 30 minutes outside of Florence. We were supposed to hang out by the pool but of course it started pouring rain and continued all afternoon. It was still a great afternoon and was nice to get out of the city one more time. Plus, you have to love when your professor is supplying plenty of wine and you have her final the next morning. A view from the balcony.
