Friday morning we took the train to Cinque Terre (5 villages), which is a really cute and amazingly gorgeous set of towns along the coast. They are seriously built straight up on cliffs. It's so cool. We stayed Friday and Saturday night in the first village, Riomaggiore, and hiked from there to the last town on Saturday. Sorry, but there's a lot of pictures.

The beaches were really rocky, but still gorgeous.

Fat kids take pictures of their meals. The fruit here is SO fresh and good. Especially the fragola (strawberries). I'm loving it.

So the entire hike is about 6 miles. I don't think that includes the torture of some parts that were seriously straight up and then straight back down. I've done some intense hikes, but this was the hardest so far. The trail goes along the coast the entire time, and the scenery was unbelievable. Pictures don't do it justice. This is looking back at the 2nd town, I think.

To get to the 3rd town, you go straight up 382 steps at the end. I didn't think it was bad, but I like that they congratulate you on making it. Complimenti!!
