If you have sensitive ears, there are a few questionable words in this clip, but I'm posting it anyways. I read a really interesting article in the Wall Street Journal today about the fact that only 54% of new voters say they are definitely going to vote in this election. I have quite a few friends and people I've met that say they don't like either candidate so they aren't voting. THAT IS STUPID. Then there is the argument that the president doesn't really do anything that affects you. False. This election matters and if you can't see that, I don't want to hear a single complaint out of your mouth about the state of our country during the next four years.
I won't rant about the history of our nation and how many people fought for our freedoms, for democracy, for the right to vote, then for women to have the right to vote, and so on. As an American, now matter how apathetic or uninterested you are in politics, it is your duty to vote, to exercise the right that we take for granted, while millions in the world don't even have a voice. You're right, your one vote doesn't count for much, but who cares? Pick a candidate and vote.
The last day to register to vote in Nevada is this saturday, October 4. If you are registered to vote in Nevada but won't be here, get on it and request your absentee ballot here. Early voting in Nevada runs October 18-31. You have absolutely no excuse to not vote.

Oh great, celebrities telling us to vote.
I wonder when the McCain campaign will release it's next "Obama is a celebrity" commercial, this time featuring Lindsey Lohan and New York from "Flavor of Love".
