San Gimignano

On Saturday, my friend Brian wanted to go see this town that he had heard about, so we decided to make a day trip. After the hour train ride, we started walking around the town, which is famous for its towers, but after a while we realized there were no towers. That's when I see a sign that says 'San Gimignano 11k.' Awesome. We didn't see any cabs or busses, so we just started walking thinking we could do it. After 2 miles, I decided we should just hitchhike. I'm all for hiking, but there are no sidewalks on the roads, so we were basically just walking in traffic. Fortunately a really nice old Italian man picked us up and drove us the rest of the way to the town. The road was so hilly that we never would have made it up there. San Gimignano is a medieval town famous for its towers. It was really cute and had some gorgeous views of the countryside. Lesson learned: know how to get where you're going before you get on the train.
They had some wierd metal people in the most random places.
San Gimignano.
Bellissimo!!
