Rich

Sarah Palin today said that Obama "would diminish the prestige of the United States Presidency." Where does she get off? Not like there is much prestige left, besides the actual office itself, at the end of the Bush administration. She is just running her mouth in her interviews lately.

Her other comments: "Doggonit he fails to tell the American people with candor and with truthfulness what his associations are and we have to know."

Oh Sarah, he has told the truth: "I'll repeat again what I've said many times. This is a guy who engaged in some despicable acts 40 years ago when I was eight years old. By the time I met him, 10 or 15 years ago, he was a college professor of education at the University of Illinois...The notion that somehow he has been involved in my campaign, that he is an adviser of mine, that . . . I've 'palled around with a terrorist', all these statements are made simply to try to score cheap political points.” Read more here.

Does anyone else find her constant use "doggonit," "joe six pack," and "oh gee" completely disingenuous and completely annoying?

In better news, the Obama campaign just bought time to air a half-hour primetime special on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. And they are in talks with other networks. The last person to do this was Ross Perot in '92. I'm so glad Obama has the $ to do something like this, in case you are actually somehow undecided on October 29, hopefully whatever they come up with will be pretty persuasive. That will be interesting.

Go Dodgers.
